The jade axe head is one of the oldest and most powerful forms in Mesoamerican sacred art.
Long before it was a tool, the axe was a symbol — of lightning, of rain, of the storm god Tlaloc splitting the sky to release water and life. Jade axe heads have been found in the most sacred offerings at Teotihuacan, in Maya royal burials, in Olmec caches dating back 3,000 years. To the ancient ones, a jade axe was not a weapon. It was a prayer in stone — a call for rain, for abundance, for the forces of creation to move on your behalf.
This pendant is Manzano jade — a rare warm-toned variety with a distinctive green patch running through it, giving the stone a living, organic quality as though the earth itself is moving inside it. The axe head measures 35mm tall, wire-wrapped in pure silver. The strand is built from graduated jaguar jade beads — 12mm, 10mm, and 8mm rounds in the speckled grey-gold tones of jaguar stone — alternating with 8mm amber beads and amber tubes ranging from 16mm to 12mm tall, full and warm with Simojovel light. Pure silver spiral spacers, saucer spacers, wirework, and a toggle clasp finish the piece with ceremonial precision.

El hilo está construido con cuentas graduadas de jade jaguar — redondas de 12mm, 10mm y 8mm en los tonos moteados gris-dorado del jade jaguar — alternando con cuentas de ámbar de 8mm y tubos de ámbar de 16mm a 12mm, llenos y cálidos con la luz de Simojovel.
